Dubbed “The Last Leading Man” by the New York Times, Brian Stokes Mitchell has enjoyed a rich and varied career on Broadway, television and film, along with appearances in the great American concert halls.

His musical versatility has kept him in demand by some of the country’s finest conductors and orchestras. He has performed selections from Porgy and Bess with Michael Tilson Thomas and the San Francisco Symphony at Carnegie Hall; Performed works by Aaron Copland and various contemporary composers at the Hollywood Bowl with the L.A. Philharmonic under the batons of Leonard Slatkin and John Mauceri; Broadway tunes at Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center in Washington DC under the baton of Marvin Hamlisch (most recently at the National Symphony Orchestra’s 75th season Pops concert debut), and Jazz and standards with Maestro John Williams at Disney Hall and with the Boston Pops. He recently debuted Pulitzer Prize winning composer David Del Tredici’s “Rip Van Winkle” with the National Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Leonard Slatkin.

 

 

Groomed in gospel, trained in opera, honed in pop, Nita's voice is a remarkable instrument that's difficult to define. A former Miss Louisiana, Nita took her southern roots, charm and show-stopping talent to Los Angeles where her incredible voice carried her to Female Grand Champion on "Star Search". With a vibrant and dynamic stage presence that is unequaled, Nita is comfortable singing in any setting, from an intimate club to the arena stages, as well as stage, television and movies. In 2005, she was the guest performer at The Freedom Awards honoring Oprah Winfrey, Rubie Dee and Paul Rusesabagnia. She sang duets with Andrea Bocelli during his 2006 Winter Tour.

 

Throughout her illustrious career, Tony Award-winning actress Bernadette Peters has dazzled audiences and critics with her performances on stage, on television, in concert, and in the recording industry. In 2003, she received her seventh Tony Award nomination for her electrifying portrayal of Momma Rose in Sam Mendes’ record-breaking Broadway revival of Gypsy. Her brilliant performance was captured on the Grammy award-winning Gypsy cast recording, released by Angel Records in August 2003.

In June 1999, Peters earned her second Tony Award, her third Drama Desk Award, and an Outer Critics Circle Award for her showstopping portrayal of Annie Oakley in one of Broadway’s most popular musicals, the smash Tony Award-winning hit Broadway revival of Annie Get Your Gun. In 1996, she made her highly-anticipated solo debut at Carnegie Hall in an exclusive concert benefitting Gay Men’s Health Crisis – a performance she repeated in Bernadette Peters in Concert, her London solo debut at Royal Festival Hall, which later was telecast on PBS and is now available on DVD.
